Christmas wine
Our Christmas wine for 2009 is now available in limited quantities at the tasting room. The wine is $14.95 per bottle.
The tradition of serving warm spiced wine on a cold winter’s eve goes back to at least Victorian times. Of course back then, the tradition was to take the hot poker from the fire & thrust it into the spiced wine to instantly heat it. These days we recommend using the microwave for one minute for a cup… or for parties, using a crock pot to slowly heat the wine. Throw in a couple of orange slices & a stick of cinnamon & let the holidays begin!

After the recent San Angelo Wine & Food Festival, the local newspaper wrote about the event & reviewed a pair of wines from Cap*Rock. Check out the article here.

If you just want to read the good bits about Cap*Rock, here’s the pertinent bit...
I was impressed by Cap Rock's offerings, especially the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve.
This wine is velvety on the palate, with smooth black cherry flavors and hints of chocolate. Oak aging adds a pleasing vanilla note to the finish.
Cap Rock also will release a limited production Viognier in the near future. This organically produced wine is lush and mouthfilling, with juicy peach flavors and a long sweet finish.€
